Recently, the construction of the Sandu section of the Dafan Erduguan highway major and medium-sized repair project in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province began. For the first time in this major overhaul construction, domestically produced high viscosity and high elasticity modified plastic asphalt mixture has been applied. This new type of pavement material will be comprehensively promoted in the major overhaul project of the second line of provincial roads.
 
Compared with the original asphalt pavement, the new asphalt pavement is a mixture of modified agents such as rubber, resin, polymer, and finely ground rubber powder, which improves the performance of asphalt. The road surface paved with it has good durability and wear resistance, achieving high temperature non softening and low temperature non cracking. The application of these new materials and technologies can improve road performance, extend road service life, and reduce maintenance costs.
 
The major overhaul of the 7.187 kilometer asphalt pavement implemented this time uses high viscosity and high elasticity modified asphalt materials to restore road driving comfort. The paving length has been completed for nearly 500 meters.
